Booking Policies
A session is only considered booked once a 50% retainer has been received. This retainer is non-refundable and secures your selected date and time. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of your session, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Retainers are non-refundable under any circumstances, including changes of mind, scheduling conflicts, or personal emergencies. If you are unable to attend your scheduled session, Minlit will work with you to reschedule to the next available date and time at no additional charge. Rescheduling is subject to availability and is not guaranteed for a specific date.
For sessions held at outdoor or third-party venues (such as Holland Ridge Farms), please note that venue operations may continue "rain or shine," and venue admission fees are separate from your Minlit session fee and are non-refundable by Minlit regardless of weather conditions.
Clients are allotted a 10-minute grace period from the scheduled session start time. Sessions will still end at the originally scheduled time regardless of late arrival — late arrival results in a shorter session, not an extension. If a client arrives more than 10 minutes late, whether the session can still be completed that day is at the sole discretion of the photographer, depending on the remaining schedule.
Edited galleries are delivered via a private online gallery within the timeframe disclosed at booking (for example, 7 business days for Seasonal Collection sessions). Delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside Minlit's reasonable control.
Minlit Studio retains full copyright ownership of all images captured during a session. Upon final payment, clients receive a personal print release granting permission to print, download, and share the delivered images for personal, non-commercial use only.
This print release does not transfer copyright and does not grant rights for commercial use, resale, or use in advertising or promotional materials by the client without a separate written licensing agreement. This release applies to all images the client purchases, including the original delivered gallery and any additional images, full-library, or upgrade purchases.
Minlit Studio may use images from client sessions for its own portfolio, website, and marketing purposes. Use of images that include identifiable clients on social media specifically is only with separate, explicit client consent, collected as an optional opt-in at time of booking and not required to complete your session or purchase.
Additional edited images, full session library access, and preset packs are available for purchase following gallery delivery, at pricing disclosed at that time. These purchases are non-refundable once digital files have been delivered.
Some sessions take place at third-party venues not owned or operated by Minlit Studio (such as Holland Ridge Farms). Clients are responsible for their own venue admission and compliance with venue-specific rules and policies. Minlit is not responsible for venue closures, policy changes, or conditions outside of its control.
Outdoor sessions carry inherent risks, including uneven terrain, weather, wildlife, and other environmental conditions. By booking a session, clients acknowledge these risks and agree that Minlit Creative Studio is not liable for injury, loss, or damage occurring during a session, except where caused by Minlit's own gross negligence.
By submitting payment and checking the agreement box at time of booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
